Gamay Noir is a wine of great but simple pleasures. Ours delivers floral scents, bold red – berry flavours, and a smooth and lingering finish. A red wine with a passport, this Gamay goes almost anywhere with food. We like it best with salmon, roasted pork dishes, or portobello mushrooms.
“Red cherry/berry fruit and gamy notes mingle with sandalwood and blueberry aromas on the nose. It blankets the palate with a medium-bodied, nicely textured, strong-flavoured tsunami wave of ripe red and dark berry fruit, grilled savoury herbs and tang-laden passionfruit. It’s good to go now after a two-hour aeration/decant poured with spicy hot chilli con carne or lamb tagine with potatoes, carrots and tomatoes.” Vic Harradine May 10, 2020 Score 89
“Rich and robust with enticing notes of black cherry, beetroot and a smoky finish. Peppered black raspberry with a nice bite and a medium-body. Smooth. Gamay could be Niagara’s signature red to go by this one.” Natalie McLean
