Sheep in the vineyard: they’re baa-ck

Saturday July 18; Saturday August 15, 2020

Tour begins at 3:30pm

David Johnson, our winemaker, has added ‘shepherd’ to his job description. Each year, sheep are brought into the Featherstone vineyard for a brief period to do leaf removal on the vines and provide weed control. Sip on our famous Featherstone Estate Black Sheep Riesling and enjoy a vineyard tour that is unique in Canada.

Tour lasts about 50 minutes. Two wines will be tasted. Please wear appropriate footwear to meet the sheep (high heels will be regretted).

$15.00+HST per person, to a maximum 25 people per session. We recommend calling ahead with a credit card number to reserve: 905-562-1949.

Please note that any cancellations within 48 hours of the event will not be refunded; we proceed rain or shine.

  1. My wife and I, with 2 other persons will be coming on Saturday the 22 and would enjoy meeting the sheep. If this is possible, please let me know. Thank you Jim and Wendy Duff. Pur favourite wine is the Black Sheep Riesling.
